Intel Xeon E5507 vs AMD Opteron 3250 HE

The AMD Opteron 3250 HE is newer than Intel Xeon E5507 @ 2.27GHz also around 6% faster in multi-threaded (CPU Mark) testing but the CPUs have comparable single-thread rating. However, AMD Opteron 3250 HE uses substantially less power.
